Compare lithium batteries and energy-storage packages from Dakota Lithium, AIMS Power and Humless. The range includes LiFePO4 deep-cycle batteries, selected dual-purpose or automotive options, powerboxes and larger storage systems. Choose the intended application first; not every battery is suitable for engine starting or household backup.

Buying and planning guide

Match voltage and battery chemistry

Confirm the receiving equipment's voltage, charging profile and permitted battery type. LiFePO4 and LTO products have different specifications. A battery that fits physically is not necessarily electrically compatible, and a charger for another chemistry should not be assumed suitable.

Compare usable energy and output

Amp-hours must be considered with voltage when comparing stored energy. Review usable capacity, continuous and peak discharge limits, and the battery-management system's restrictions. Do not assume that a high-capacity battery can supply every inverter load or motor-starting requirement.

Check temperature and expansion limits

Read model-specific charging and operating temperature limits, including any heating function. Do not assume all lithium batteries permit charging below freezing. Series or parallel expansion must be explicitly supported by the manufacturer, with appropriate matching, wiring and protection.

Build a compatible charging system

Compare inverters and inverter chargers and solar systems only after establishing compatibility. Cycle life depends on operating conditions; batteries do not provide endless cycles. Allow for installation, inspection and appropriate storage even when routine maintenance is limited.
