Treatment effectiveness depends on the system and operating conditions, not simply the presence of ozone. Assess source water, pretreatment, contact conditions, monitoring and maintenance with a qualified water-treatment professional. See the CDC water-treatment overview for context.
Separate preparedness options
For separate emergency planning, compare water supplies and treatment and stored drinking water. These options are not equivalent replacements for an engineered ozone-treatment installation.
