Review the model's dimensions, weight, airflow settings and electrical requirements. Some AP-series models include PM2.5 sensing, while selected models add UV-C features. Those features vary by model; they do not make every unit an identical solution for every pollutant.

Budget for filters and servicing

Confirm the supplied prefilters and HEPA filter, any compatible carbon stage, and the replacement schedule for your conditions. Dust loading can change operating performance. Allow access for filter changes and use the manufacturer's handling instructions when a filter may contain hazardous material.

Do not confuse particles with gases

HEPA equipment captures airborne particles; gas and odor reduction depends on suitable media and the particular contaminant. It does not make carbon monoxide safe or resolve an oxygen-deficient space. No air cleaner removes every pollutant or substitutes for controlling the source.

Choose the application, not a blanket promise

Professional restoration or hazardous-material work may require controls beyond a portable scrubber. Confirm suitability with the equipment supplier and the responsible professional.
