The enhanced Gravi-Stil package combines the stainless-steel water-treatment system with the pump and solar-panel accessories listed below. It offers a heat-driven distillation mode and a separate filtration setup. Choose the operating mode for the source water and the treatment problem; the two modes do not have identical capabilities.

Does the solar panel heat the water?

No. The panel supplies the small pump system; distillation still requires an appropriate heat source to boil the source water. This is not a passive solar still that makes distilled water solely from the included photovoltaic panel. Plan the heat source, fuel or energy supply, condenser cooling and clean collection containers together.

Output depends on the operating mode

• Distillation: the manufacturer lists output up to one gallon per hour, dependent on heat and operating conditions.
• Filtration: the higher flow rate is a separate filtering mode, not the distillation rate. Do not use a filter-flow figure to estimate desalination output.
• Brackish or ocean water: use the system's documented desalination/distillation setup rather than assuming ordinary filtration removes dissolved salt.

Before relying on an off-grid distiller

Review heat-source compatibility, cooling-water requirements, cleaning and scale removal, safe hot-water handling and the daily amount you actually need. Source-water chemistry matters: do not assume any distiller removes every volatile contaminant or makes chemically exposed water safe. Keep clean-water collection separate from untreated water and follow the current operating instructions.
