What to compare before you buy

Match the inverter's DC input to the battery bank and its AC output to your loads.
Check AC input requirements, transfer behavior, surge duration and charger settings.
Solar charging is not universal: confirm whether a controller is built in or separately required.

Is every inverter charger a hybrid solar inverter?

No. A charger may accept grid or generator AC without providing direct solar input or grid export. Choose according to the exact unit's documented functions.
